It was a wet and cool winter afternoon and I was really craving something to help warm me up. Driving around after a visit to the post office, I found a little shopping center with a new restaurant. The big yellow banner kept calling my name, and they have warm eats to satisfy my craving too!
We walked in to find a nice lady standing behind the counter offering candy a two young girls screaming at their father, who was trying to pay for their meal. She was very polite and patient, a smile on her face the whole time! Quite impressive. ;)
Look at the fun mood lighting that really made for a comfy atmosphere when paired with the Vietnamese music playing overhead.
She soon after sat us in in a booth and left us to peruse the menu. It was a pretty normal Vietnamese restaurant menu from what I saw, but I went straight for the noodle soups, so I may have missed some things...
My dining partner and I both decided to get the Pho Tai Chin- a beef broth with sliced steak and well done brisket. They didn't offer different sizes, as most pho restaurants do, but I was hopefully that the portion would be appropriate. I was pleasantly surprised :)
The portions are quite generous, similar to the larger sizes offered at other restaurants. The meats were nice and lean and were quite fresh. Both cuts did not have any old odors or flavors and were quite tender. The broth was nice and flavorful, not greasy at all. The bean sprouts and herbs that came with the bowls were also very fresh and plentiful. I was super happy with this bowl of pho and the restaurant overall!
So, How Nuts Are We about Pho Saigon Garden?
